The Invitation (Artist's Proof)
One of Greene's best known works, the Invitation features a background of deep purples and blues that contrast nicely with the warm tones of the Saviour's robe. Christ reaches out to the viewer, extending His invitation of new beginnings. Jesus says: "Come unto me, all you who are heavy-laden and I will give you rest," (Matthew 11:28).
