( John 5:18 ) In this preliminary black and white study for Nathan's upcoming painiting of the same name, the artist portrays Christ addressing the lame man at Bethesda just before He heals him. This depiction shows one of the classic healing miracles in Christ's ministry and is one of Greene's most complex compositions.
